May it be a source of inner strength to know that there's a loving God watching over you, and that, throughout this time of need, He'll stay close by your side. Wayne was a special Masonic brother to me and I am Blessed to have known him.
With much love and Prayer,
Butch Tumlin

Mary Ann my thoughts are with you at this time.

Wayne Pledger, my older brother was an all around good guy, with calm and collective characteristics I can only wish for. Wayne didn't have an egotistical or narcissistic bone in his body, although he was a very successful entrepreneurial business man. Our lifetime of conversations were always storied and, mutually considered to be confidential and, will remain that way. I therefore will store them as treasures in my memory vault, knowing they are an important part of my life. Occasionally I'm sure I'll be pulling a certain memory out to extol a virtue he possessed but, never to exploit a weakness he may have had because I enjoyed a lifetime of the same honorable treatment from him and, for a little brother, that was a real treat to have, while others were exploiting my every immature move. The things we shared, hardly anyone would understand anyway, mostly it involved an analysis of a history we shared of which only he and I were left with firsthand knowledge. We have always been close however, for the past nine years or so, we have been the only two of the brothers left and, it only served to enhance the relationship and generate even more jewels for the memory vault. Occasionally we would have differing opinions on particulars but, the brotherly bond overcame any difference of opinion and, we loved being brothers more than our opinions so, we kept talking because of what was most important, respect for each other. My vocation carried me away from the old home place where we grew up and, for many years having lived many miles and several hours apart, our visits were most often in the form of one hour or more phone calls, where he would inquire of my well being with genuine concern and interest no one else has ever even cared to know or wouldn't listen if I tried to explain.
To state the obvious, I will miss you brother, thanks for caring about me, thanks for the memories.
To Mary Ann his wife, Mark and John his sons, thanks for your contribution to Wayne's life; I know it was great for him. I'll always love you guys for enhancing Wayne's life and, giving it fullness it would have never had without you. Knowing Wayne as I did, I can honestly say, I believe you were blessed as well to have been the wife and the sons of Wayne Pledger as well as he was blessed to be your Husband and Dad.
In Loving Memory,
Ray Pledger
