Living near Wayne, and surrounded by his and Dolly's homestead, was a great fortune for my family. They were there if we needed them for lumber or brush hogging, ideas on how to trap a ground hog or fix a water pump. We freely walked their land that surrounds our home. Wayne laughed over the years at our flatlander ignorance and taught us the virtues of a hard working Vermonter. Wayne was a kind man. He and Dolly were a great team. Life will be different without him. He will be greatly missed.

Grampy, I will miss that smile, quick wit and chuckle. You were a gentle giant that always loved meeting new people and listening to Dot and I tell stories of how bad our husbands were being. You often called her and I your double troubles. I am so honored to have been with you through the end and know that I could bring you peace and comfort during those last few days. The laughter and memories we shared in those last days, hours, minutes will always be held in my heart....Love you Grampy....RIP and as always we will be here watching Grandma Dolly for you.... Love Becca
