Wayne Philip Walker

Wayne Walker, resident of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away on February 27, 2023 at the age of 63. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts on January 14, 1960 to Philip and Bette Walker (Desorda), Wayne was known as a hard-working handyman who approached life's challenges with a smile on his face. He and his wife, Barbara, raised their two sons in West Boylston, Massachusetts. Over the years the family made many wonderful memories together including backyard wiffle ball games, summer vacations in Virginia Beach, game nights at the kitchen table, and rooting for New England sports teams.

Wayne was a dedicated and knowledgeable CNC machine operator, a skill he earned while working at Saint Gobain (formerly Norton Company) for over 35 years until his retirement in 2015. Wayne's technical experience and programming background carried over to the custom glass fabrication company D3 Glass in Fort Myers, Florida where he worked as the Lead of his Department. Wayne was known as someone who loved to crack a joke, who enjoyed long rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and who was always up for a game of cribbage.

Wayne is survived by his son Brian and his wife Tricia Walker; his son Steven and his wife Jennifer Walker; his mother Bette Walker; his brother Bruce and his wife Joan; his sister Teri and her husband Richard Collette; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Walker, and his father Philip Walker.
