Wendell Townsend

Wendell E Townsend, 75, of North Aurora, IL, formerly of Woodstock, IL and Tucson, AZ, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 while in the company of family members, at his son's home in North Aurora, IL. He was born in Hebron, IL on October 20, 1940, a son of the late Irving and Georgia (Vasey) Townsend. He worked as a truck driver for McHenry Sand & Gravel, Miller Formless and Meyer Material in McHenry, IL, for 44 years, retiring in 2003. Wendell is survived by a daughter, Wendy Greenleaf, of Tucson, AZ; two sons Scott (Marcella) Townsend, of Sparks, NV; Curt (Patty) Townsend, of North Aurora, IL; eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren; five sisters; two brothers; his former wife Judy Townsend. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday June 3, 2016 at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home 10011 Main St, Richmond, IL. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 4, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock, IL.
