Dear Keith, Boys and families,
Need to tell you how impressed I was by the service for Wendy. It was fitting, heartwarming, sincere and I'm so happy to have been there. The life you and Wendy created and the love you share is a shining example of what is possible when two hearts join as one and nothing is taken for granted. Though she has left this earthly plain her spirit and love will live on for many generations through her children and grandchildren. "The Lord is our Shepherd" and that's all we need to know! Keith and family, so very sorry to hear the news about Wendy and sorry to have missed the celebration of her life which I am sure could not be put into words but is remembered by all the amazing things she was to so many people. Her warm smile and giving heart will always be a true picture to me of all she was. Our thoughts and love go out to all of you.

Keith and family: you have been on our minds and hearts, and it's so difficult to express how sorry we are for your great loss. Wendy was such a lovely soul. Her and I had a blast in Edmonton shopping for a piano. She was so kind and helped me load rocks for landscaping, even when I protested. She generously shared her incredible cinnamon buns. She was Christmas tree decorator extraordinaire! It was fun accompanying some of her vocal students at the festival. So many great memories! We'll keep praying for you, and so sorry we couldn't get to the funeral.

I will always treasure the days I was able to spend with Wendy in the hospital. She was always so proud to share stories, updates, and pictures on her phone of her boys and their wives, and especially Adelynn. Wendy was so blessed to have such a loving family. Keith you and Wendy had a one of a kind marriage which showed through your love for each other.
I am really going to miss my special friend.

To Keith and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I usually find it odd that the obituary column is always opened and left for review in the coffee room but I thank God they did. I met Wendy a few times while working with Rosie at the Lion's meetings. She was always gracious and full of life. It's always difficult to find the right words but an anonymous person left us food for thought. No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. We will all meet one day and celebrate once more.

October 12, 2016

Keith and Family we are sorry to hear about 'aunt' Wendy's death. She welcomed us with open arms when we first visited Athabasca. We loved staying and visiting you and your family. Thank you for the fun we had and the memories.

Wendy was a kind and loving person with a real zest for life. She taught music to our sons Alex and Brett. It was mentioned at her funeral that she had said "nobody remembers the music teacher". Well our boys will never forget theirs and either will we! She is loved and missed by many.

Dear Keith and Family, There are no words to express the loss of someone who has touched the lives of many. I shall remember the fun times we had, the laughter, goofiness and all the positive times that Wendy believed. I remember when I first moved to Athabasca and we were roommates and how she invited me to everything, including the Athabasca Players! I shall miss her smile and singing voice. I can't be with you all for the celebration of her life, but my prayers are with you all. Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted. Rest in peace my friend

Gobsmacked! Wendy continues to impact over years all she impacted. I remember as part of the Athabasca Mentorship Program Wendy was honoured by a teen who said she made a difference in her life. The teen said it 'paraphrasing' was her passion and belief. I had the joy of working at various times with Wendy and am so proud of her. My heart aches for her family, friends, and the many children she impacted.
