MARTIN, Wendy Mae (Gow) May 6, 1951 - September 14, 2006 Wendy passed away at home with husband, Jim at her side. For fifteen years Wendy courageously battled breast cancer and related illnesses while continuing to teach, to enjoy her friends and to experience the wonders of nature and travel. Predeceased by father, Earl (1976), father-in-law, Don Martin (1995), mother-in-law, Mabelle Martin (1996) and brother-in-law, Donald Martin (2001). Wendy is survived by her mother, Claire, sister Jenice Nandlal, brother, Neil Gow (Ola), sister-in-law Diane Bailey (Jim) and brothers-in-law John and Bill (Jane) Martin and their families, and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Wendy will be fondly remembered for her commitment to the students that she taught in Edmonton and northern Alberta schools over 29 years and her leadership in helping young people to better understand their relationship with the natural environment. Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Wendy's life that will be held at a date and location to be named. A further announcement will be placed at that time. We heard of Wendy's passing and we have been wondering why she was not at the pool anymore.
We are very sad and will miss her cheerful smile across the pool.

I heard of her passing and has remembrance her in many visits to gatherings with our families in any seasons of the years. I proud of her wonderful spirition journey. she now goes somewhere in her experiment journey. Yes, my most memories @ Ma Mere's gatherings many times. My deepest symapthy to her family.
