I knew Wendy well from the Brooklyn VA Medical Center. She was a beautiful person who was giving and always wore her heart on her sleeve. When she went into the Air Force, we sadly eventually lost touch, and I just can't believe she's gone. I just happened to look her up to see if I could connect with her again, and I find out she's no longer with us. Rest in peace my beautiful friend.

I am so sorry, Wendy and I had lost touch and I am so sorry to find out she is no longer with us. I know she is in heaven looking down upon us, sending us onward. I miss her. I am so sorry I was not aware of this, it breaks my heart.

What I remember about Wendy - I never knew I could like someone who was fond of cats so much! Wendy always knew just want to say to build someone's confidence and make them feel like their life was worthwhile. Some people suck the oxygen out of the air so that others can't breathe; Wendy was like a tree who breathed in other people's toxins and breathed out oxygen. She graced the life of those who knew her. And while she may no longer be with us in body, her love and care live on in those who knew her.
