SWENSON _Mrs. Wendy Swenson, late of Prince Albert, SK, passed away Prince Albert, SK at the age of 50 years. Wendy's first love was Lorne Swenson. She married him and they have a wonderful son, Carl. Her second love was nursing. Wendy devoted her family and her life and her love to her family and helping those who were ill. Wendy graduated from Riverside School in Prince Albert, SK. She graduated from Psych. Nursing from the Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battle Ford, SK Wendy did a lot of work for the Prince Albert Grand Council, and for the Northern Intertribal Health Agency. She assisted them in setting up an Aboriginal Nursing program here in Prince Albert, SK. Wendy loved to work. She excelled at everything she did. All of us will miss her. While nursing at the Victoria Union Hospital in Prince Albert, SK she graduated from Hospital Administration, Registered Nursing, and Bachelor Degree in Science -Nursing. Wendy moved to the Royal University Hospital in Saskatchewan as the head nurse of Emergency Department. While there, she graduated from Masters in Nursing at U of S, she started her own Nursing Consultant business. Wendy is survived by: her husband, Lorne Swenson; her son, Carl Haakon Swenson; her in-laws, Ida and Asbjorn Graupe of Hagen, SK; Gloria and Jens Nielsen of Prince Albert, SK and Arthur and Lillian Swenson of Prince Albert, SK; her aunts and uncles, Beatrice (Isbister) Robinson, Murielle (Isbister) Dreaver, Ruth (Isbister) Dreaver, George and Rita (Gunville) Isbister and Lucille (Gunville) Isbister, Hugh and Gladys Machennan, Edna Hamilton, Lucy Vermette from the Wahpeton Reserve; her father, Stanley Arnold Vermette; her mother, Albertine Ada Vermette (Isbister); her brother, Russell Vermette, his wife Rachael Ama Vermette (Owusu); her daughter, Micaiah Akua Miwisan Vermette; her brother, Jack Vermette, his sons, Kent Russell Vermette and Kyle Paul Vermette; her sister, Ann Vermette. Wendy was predeceased by: her father-in-law, Carl M. Swenson of Prince Albert, SK; her mother-in-law, Olina "Lena " Swenson; Verna Ueland (Swenson) of Prince Albert, SK; her paternal grandmother, Charlotte Vermette (Harper) of Prince Albert, SK; her paternal grandfather, Patrick Gunville of Prince Albert, SK; her maternal grandfather, William Joseph Isbister form Monte Nebo; her maternal grandmother, Ada Ahenakew of Sandy Lake Reserve; her uncles and aunts, Fred La Salle of Ohio; Wilfred La Salle of Prince Albert, SK; Eda Henry (La Salle) of Prince Albert, SK; Doug Vermette of Prince Albert, SK; Russell Isbister of Monte Nebo; Billy Isbister of New West Minister, BC; Fred Dreaver of Mistawasis Reserve; William Robinson of Prince Albert, SK, Placid Laliberty of Prince Albert, SK Allan Dreaver from Prince Albert, SK and Bill Hamilton of Prince Albert, SK The Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at 2:00 p.m., at St. Alban's Cathedral, Prince Albert, SK with the Rev. Ken Lyons Officiating.
