Hi Jacquie and everyone at CTV Calgary and Lethbridge:

Thank you very much for your most recent note. I really means so much to all of us that you are all still thinking about Wes. We sure are. We miss him more and more every day. We had a mishap this week, one of Wes' cats, Salem, decided to go for an unauthorized "walk" in Lakeview. He was gone for 3 days but I found him last night cold, wet and hungry. Thank you once again for your note, it was very thoughtful.

I have just received the news of Wes' passing and I am still in shock. Wes was such a breath of fresh air and always greeted me with a smile during my time at CFCN. I remember the day we realized that he went to school with my older brothers Phil and Steve Round and we couldn't believe it. I can't believe this tragic news and to Wes' family please know that I am thinking about you and wishing you healing and strength. What a great person you raised and so many people are thankful that we had a chance to share time with him.

I'm so sorry to hear of Wes' passing. I met him in 1983 at SAIT, and I was one of the lucky ones who spent a lot of time with him. He was without a doubt one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I ever met, and he could make me laugh until I cried. I only saw him a handful of times after graduating, but each time it felt like the years just melted away. I will always remember Wes with fondness. My heart goes out to his family.

Wes was a great co-worker and an even greater friend. It was with shock and deep saddness that we learned of his sudden death. We'll always remember his wonderful sense of humour and laugh and his memory will remain in our hearts.

I am sorry for the loss of a great man, a man that has not only touched every person, but every single heart in so many ways. Wes lived to see that smile that his encouraging words generated. He made you feel special, supported, and he would always put YOU into the limelight, even if his encouraging ways were the source. Oh Wes how you WILL be missed, by someone that was blessed by you so many times by your encouraging words.

I have been fortunate to work with Wes the past 17 years. He was a polite, calm, easygoing person, and a diligent worker. He was very observant of people around him, and made astute comments. Wes will be dearly missed.

To the Kent Family,
I first got to know Wes when my Dad and his Dad were coach a hockey team of kids younger than us. We were very good friends right through high school. Through most of high school we worked at the Herald. We had not seen each other for a long time. One thing I will always fondly remember is a little ploy so we could go see Ozzy at Maxbell when we were 14 or 15.
He was a great friend and I will Always remember him fondly.

Wes and I go back a long ways. 24 years to be exact, We had some great times at SAIT and later on when I worked with him at CFCN. Wes was like a brother to me. Our friendship is something I'll always cherish. Wes was the type of person who wanted to make others to look better. It was never about him. I'll miss his his sense of humour and his kindness.

Although we were old friends, and I had worked with Wes for many years, it was just in the last few weeks that I got to really get to know him better. In a way, it was like a New found friendship.

Sadly that can't continue, but the fond memories and happy thoughts will continue forever. Wes was one of the kindest people a person could ever get to know.

Just knowing that he was my friend was the greatest gift I could ever have received. I will miss him so much.

It is with deep regret and sadness that I leave this message in memory of one of the finest people I have ever known and had the pleasure to work with for nearly 6 years. Wes, you were not only a great co-worker, but you were also a great friend and fellow fan of the great sport of Baseball. I hope you are now able to look down from up above on every game and enjoy them all.
My sincere sympathies and prayers remain for your immediate family, extended family, and all others who knew you as the great person you were!!
God Bless!!

I was lucky enough to be at SAIT when Wes was a fellow student. Wavo was one of the gems in our environment, and there was no one that didn't like him. I know that is how he conducted his life. We were even neighbours, and I found out about it by chance. Let us all take this opportunity to remember to always keep close to us, those who touch us the most, with a firmer hand.
My sincerest condolences to his family, and his close personal friends.

I've known Wes for 24 years, since he boosted my old yellow van at SAIT..we could always get together after not seeing each other for years and we could just pick up where we left off. Sadly it had been a few years since Glen, Wes and I had laughed together and for that I will always be sorry. He was a great friend and very funny and caring person. My prayers and sympathies go out to his family.

It has been my pleasure to work with Wes over the last 7 years. He was brilliant at his job and a pleasure to have as a co-worker. His love of sport, and particularily baseball, made my job easier and made my sportscasts all that much better.

His sense of humour, broad knowledge of any subject, and overall disposition will be hard to replace.

Our baseball pool won't be the same without Wes!

Wes, you are missed greatly already...

Goodbye, Wesley.

I had the pleasure of working very closely with Wes for 6 years while I was at CFCN. He was such a great mentor for me, a great personal influence, and a lot of fun to be around. He was always so professional, so talented, and he had that amazing wit that could catch you completely off guard and leave you rolling on the floor with laughter. I was shocked and saddened to learn Wes had passed away. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends and all his co-workers. Like everyone else who knew him, Wes made a wonderful impact on my life and I will never forget him. He was one of the good guys and will certainly be missed.

Wes had this awesome ability to leave you feeling so important. He was an amazing graphics artist and even more a huge hearted individual.
Wes was responsible for taking "El KC"(my logo) and making him come to life! He blew life into him making him walk, spin and jump around.

Looking back now, I do believe Wes's job in life (to which he performed at the highest level)... was to "blow new life" into people. Making them smile, laugh, and leaving them feeling uplifted and refreshed.

A void has been left where Wes once was, but sitting here remembering Wes’s goofy little comments and infectious little smile brings me back to where Wes would want us all… feeling uplifted, and refreshed…
You will be greatly missed my friend-

Sincerely
KC Styles
