Christine Hague
March 25, 2005
I am Christine Hague, daughter of Virginia Reid, (daughter of Corinne and Arthur Reid). I am the 4th child out of 8.
I would like to say I am sorry to hear of Wes' passing. I was hoping we would have time to communicate and get to know each other more. I have appreciated his thoughtfulness in helping me with geneology information, sending me things to copy, stories of the family etc. I have always been curious about our relatives "back East". I have been able to communicate with some and I have loved getting to know others in our family line. I am thankful for his kindness he always showed me and taking the time to let me know more about my heritage as much as he knew about and could share with me. I am very interested in family history and relatives. If anyone can help me out with stories of our ancestors or family links or just get to know each other, I would be very appreciative and happy to get to know them. I would like to say if it were not for Wes I do not know if I would have been able to gain contact with my cousin Valerie Forrest. Because of him we now are able to have contact with her again and were able to know of our cousin Craig's illness and his passing. Thankyou Wes.

What a dynamic man with such a beautiful spirit! As a little girl, I remember my Grandmother, Gertrude Bicknell, fondly telling of her cousin Wes, although Wes and I didn't really get acquainted until I was grown and married. We shared a keen interest in our family genealogy and he was always excited to help identify a photo or relate a family story.
His visits to us in Texas and his stay with Mike in our Virginia home, I count as some of my very fondest, most valuable memories. I am thankful for his strength, his generosity and his kindness and am so grateful for the time we shared.

Our memories of Wes are fond. We appreciated his intellect, his concern for others and especially, his love for his family. We will miss him.

I'm Gloria - daughter of Virginia Reid (Arthur & Corrine Reid's dtr). I first met Wes when I was just 9 years old when my grandparents (Arthur & Corrine Reid) took me on a rail trip from California to the East Coast. Wes gave us a cottage to stay in at Cape Cod. I learned a lot of local history while there, but mostly I remember Wes' kindness to me as a young girl. I know he was quite close to my mother, especially in their younger days. I am sure he will be greatly missed.
