In memory of
Raul Vasquez
July 29, 2007
To the family of Dr. Weber,
It was an honor for me to have been a student under his direction through Teacher Corps in 1974-1975. He had recently come to Brownsville ISD to work on a curriculum audit and what a pleasant surprise when our paths crossed after so many years. We had numerous conversations in person and on the phone and he still possessed the same energy and dedication in assisting others. I will remember his guidance and his belief that we should all make a difference in the education business. I can assure you that he definitely made a difference. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
Sincerely,
Raul N. Vasquez

Dr. Weber was THE instrumental force in the Masters of Education program at the Texas Medical Center and will be missed by all of us. I personally learned so much from his research and statistic classes.
Will's two loves were clear to all who knew him: his family, and the Astros (in that order!).
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Prof. Weber made possible my stay and studies at the University of Houston. He was my Graduate Advisor and one of the GREATEST ever person I have ever met. What he did was more than what I can express in words...

I only got to take one class with Dr. Weber, but his teaching has had a huge impact on mine. He was an incredible person, kind, and giving, with a sense of humor that stays with me still. Your family will be in my prayers, and I hope they take comfort during this sad time, knowing you were so loved by everyone. Thank you Dr. Weber, for everything.

Dr. Weber was a great professor at U of H. Even though he made us write a 20pg paper. He always made us laugh and his favorite things were Baseball and his grandchildren. He will never be forgotten and I will always remember his Classroom Management Strategies and the things he taught me to become a successful teacher. As a result, I have excellent classroom management in my classroom. Thanks Dr. Weber

As I have planned my son’s summer, I've often reflected on the fun summer activities that I had with Dr. Weber and Brad. I have fond memories of a summer camp and swimming at the Shamrock. Dr. Weber was a master at having fun while learning!
May your family find glimpses of joy during this sad time as you reflect on fond memories.

How sad we were to learn of Will's passing. He was a favorite of Alexis, Ben, and Chris because of the extra attention that he paid to them. May you find some consolation knowing that his dedication to quality education truly made a difference for children and teachers.

Sincere sympathy to the Weber family. He reached out to help many in a personal way as he did my God daughter as we had tables side by side one evening at the Stables. We were all very grateful and will always remember his selfless efforts on her behalf.

My deepest condolences are extended to the Weber family. I was saddened to hear the news of your loss. I had the honor of being in a number of Dr. Weber's doctoral courses. He was a remarkable professor with a unique sense of humor. Although the educational community has also suffered a loss, Dr. Weber's legacy lives on in his students.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathies to the Weber Family. Dr. Weber was the chair on my dissertation team and a huge influence throughout my entire educational program at the UH. I had him for many classes and continue to this day to recall his teaching, guidance and support. His presence at the UH will truly missed, but his memory will live on.

Prof.Weber was a great teacher. We his ex-students in MALAYSIA knew him as a dedicated educationist. Having him as one of our lecturers during our masters program was one of the highlights of my own academic pursuits. I will always have fond memories of his visits to Malaysia. My deepest condolences to his family.

From my family to yours, we send our deepest condolences. Dr. Weber's "tough love" has had a great impact on my education and growth as a person. I am fortunate to have had him for five courses. His mentorship has proven to be invaluable and prescious as I continue to grow as a professional, individual, and mentor to others. Please know that your family is in our prayers as you journey through this tough time.

Dr. Weber was a kind individual that held his fellow Kappa Delta Pi members in high regards. He provided KDP with service opportunities, guidance, and support for our fundraisers. Dr. Weber was an amazing individual that had a great heart to help his chapter and school aged children. His smile will always be missed. His heart will be with us. And his spirit will continue within the College of Education and KDP. The lessons we have learned and the experience we have gained will never be forgotten.
Dr. Weber,
Thank you for everything you have done for us. You were a great man and a role model to all.

Will was one of my best friends. His tireless work as President of Neartown Little League will always be remembered. I will deeply miss our talks on baseball and coaching, even when we did not agree (although most of the time we did). He was the voice of Neartown Little League, the foundation which it was built on. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family in this time of sorrow.

Dr. Will Weber’s death brings both sadness and fond reflections. I consider Will to be one of the perennial influences in my early formation as a scholar and university professor. Because Will was committed to extracting excellence from the minds of his students, his influence and impact will continue to live in the daily professional lives of those of us who in some small way carry on the Will Weber tradition of expecting excellence from our students and more importantly expecting our students to seek excellence in themselves.
Dr. Will Weber will be missed but certainly not forgotten.
Thank you Will.

Dr. Weber was a very significant person in my graduate education at the University of Houston. At first I worked for him as a graduate assistant in the Teacher Corps program. Later he became director of my studies at the University of Houston.
I will always be grateful to him for his encouragement and confidence in me. He was not easy, but always supportive.
Thank you Will. You have mentored many professional educators throughout the State of Texas and beyond, many are now if positions of leadership in education.
I myself became a Dominican friar and a Catholic priest. I will always carry with me what I learned from him. May he rest in peace.

My son and I just returned from the Astros game and noticed Will's empty seat. The game seemed oddly unbalanced without his presence. We have had the pleasure of having Astros seats next to Will and his family. He was a wonderful man and we will truly miss him. Our prayers and thoughts to his family and his many friends. His little grandson had a very honorable grandpa and I am sure his love will be eternal.

I was deeply saddened by this news and will truly miss Dr. Weber. He reminded me so much of my own grandfather, with a gruff exterior but a heart of gold. The College of Ed. will not be the same without him, and neither will those of us he touched. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Dr. Weber was my professor in Brownsville over the last two years. Although his classes were challenging and demanding, he was also supportive and caring. It was clear to me that I had been given a rare opportunity to learn from someone with exceptional knowledge. I learned so much from him. Thank you for sharing him with us. He will certainly be missed and will be a great loss to our program and future U of H students. May God bless all of you and comfort you through this difficult time.
