Wilfred F. Belanger

My goodness, I was just thinking of Willy on Saturday. Willy was one of my dads best buddies. When my little brother Denis passed away in 1974, Willy and other members of the DAV Chapter 1, were very inspirational in making my brother's last Christmas (73) a happy one by showing up at the house after my brother went to bed with boxes of toys for him, and a kitten for me.
Until my dad passed away in 1985, Willy was as my mother put it, " the brother my dad never had."
I think when the DAV had the juke box the members intensionally left the song " little Willy" in it, just for him.
Brighter than life, Willy truly was a loving, caring, compassionate man who always put others before himself.

Uncle Willy, I remember growing up with you around, always such a fun loving guy...<3

I haven't seen my Uncle Willie a quiet some time now. He was a great friend "best friend" to my dad Charlie Soule. Uncle Willie I have so many great memories of you from growing up and you were a vert special person Thank you Uncle Willie for all the love and great times .

Lugene, was sorry to hear of Willie s passing, he was a very caring person. He would never call me by my first name, always Mrs, Z. He will be missed by many and is now in a better place. love carol zorawowicz
