I was so sorry to hear of Bill's sudden death. I was pleased to meet him at pickleball a couple of years ago and renew our acquaintance. Bill was my son's first soccer coach when Richard was 7 years old. Bill was so patient with him as he stumbled around the field, learning some of the finer points of the game. I really appreciated his understanding matter with all of the young players.

My condolences to the family.

Dear Sheila and family,
Bill will be sadly missed. We had been friends for over 67 years. No matter where the Cains moved in our early lives I received a birthday card. In recent years the birthday was remembered with an e-mail and we communicated often with each other via e-mail.

Our condolences go out to the family.

My most heartfelt condolences on the loss of Mr. Cain. He was my soccer coach in grade 11/12 at Queen Elizabeth (1989-1990). He was a great coach, with a wonderful sense of humour. He had the whole team over to his home for an end of season BBQ and swim. We were a rowdy bunch of teenaged girls, but Mr. Cain kept us in line. I recognized his picture by his smile; as I remember, he showed it often. He made an impact on me and I am sure he will be missed.
