William Woodrow Abbott age 68, formerly of Vimy Ridge, AR. He passed away January 27th in the hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born in Little Rock, AR to parents, Woodrow and Rosa Abbott on July 14, 1942. William had lived in Rolling Fork, Mississippi for 14 years and had worked as a caretaker of Catfish farm and Pecan orchard. He also served in the U. S. Navy and was a licensed plumber. He was a member of the Vimy Ridge Immanuel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by Jimmy Lou Abbott, his former wife and one son; George Abbott, his parents; Woodrow Abbott and Rosa Mullings and a brother Danny Mullings. He is survived by a faithful companion, Karen Cousery. 2 sons, Chuck Abbott of Little Rock and James Luck of Beebe; 2 daughters, Mandy Abbott of Moore, Oklahoma and Debbie Lott of Little Rock; 4 sisters, Pasty Hobby of Mabelvale, Rose Mary Moak of Englewood, Colorado, Fay Harris (Earl) of Sherwood and Jeannette Williams (Mac) of Alexander; 2 brothers James Abbott and Raymond Abbott both of Vimy Ridge; 4 grandchildren, Cameron Abbott, Daniel and Kaela Luck and Holley Underwood as well as 15 step-children. Visitation will be Sunday January 30th from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Peaceful Haven Funeral Home in Benton. Funeral services will be Monday, January 31, 2011 at Peaceful Haven Funeral Home which is located at 322 N. Market in Benton, AR with James Thurston and Gary Hobby officiating. Pallbears will be Willis Long, Tim Abbott, John Galley, Ricky Byrd, Marty Williams and Danny Williams. Honorary pallbearers, Earl Harris, Joe Watson, Scott Chaplin and Bob Bogue.
