Cece and family: I am shocked and saddened to hear of Bill's death. I worked with him at Cherry Point and New River, he was one of the finest men that I have ever had the privilege of knowing. Bill was soft spoken and always smiling and never had a disparaging word to say about anyone. He was a very talented aircraft mechanic and an artisan of many trades. He was a true American hero in every sense of the word, a Vietnam era veteran of the US Marines that survived three helicopter crashes. He was cool headed and methodical. He loved his family dearly; I don't ever remember having a conversation in which he did not talk about his family with pride. It is understandable why this great all American will be missed. I am glad that he quit work to be with his family he talked of doing that often, He look forward to traveling with you and the family, I am happy that he got that opportunity. My deepest sympathy and prayers to you and all of your family. Rest in peace Bill, I hope to see you again one day.
