William Ballard Obituary
Rev. William Allen Ballard, Jr., age 75 of Clarksville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 19, 2014.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2014 at Temple Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dave Coulter officiating. Burial will follow at the Scotts Chapel Cemetery, Cumberland City.
The Ballard family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home, and 10 a.m. until the hour of service Monday at Temple Baptist Church.
Rev. Ballard entered this life on March 12, 1938 in Cumberland City, son to the late William Allen Ballard, Sr. and Lora Gertrude Adams Ballard. He was an Ordained Minister of the Gospel and cared deeply for his church family at Temple Baptist Church, where he served as Pastor for 35 years. He was also an accomplished carpenter and a loving family man.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Balla Ballard of Clarksville; sons, Ronald Ballard of Clarksville, Allen Ballard of Pensacola, FL, and Daniel Ballard and wife Samantha of Roseville, CA; and siblings, Harold Dean Ballard of Cumberland City and Sarah Stavely of Erin. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
