William Eugene Barnett, 91, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023. No formal services will be held, however a memorial service is pending. Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum is his final resting place beside his beloved Elizabeth Denning Barnett. Mr. Barnett was born Mar. 17, 1932, in Tulsa OK. He and Elizabeth were married Dec. 12, 1953, in Tulsa and had 2 sons, John A. & Clark H., they moved to Burkburnett from Florida more than 35 years ago. He graduated from Will Roger's High School in Tulsa, & attended Okla State Univ. He was a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army & completed Infantry OCS, at Fort Benning, GA in 1952. He was a member of the National Restaurant Association for many years & worked 35 years in the food Service Industry Coast to Coast. He was survived by 1 son, John A. Barnett of Burkburnett, TX, 1 brother, Robert E. Barnett of Glenpool, OK, a very loved and special companion, Irma Walburn of Burkburnett, TX, and many adoring Nieces & Nephews.

Sorry to read of Bill's passing, I always received a Christmas card from him but didn't receive one this year. I checked on my phone today and sadly saw he had passed. I got to know Bill when he was the area manager for Howard Johnsons and I was a Johnson girl in Springfield MO. I last saw him 20 years ago at a former manager's 60th birthday party. He will be sadly missed by myself and everyone that knew him.

I was so sorry to learn today from my brother Ted of Bill´s passing. I remember he and Betty visiting my folks in Tulsa with their young sons John and Clark. John, I´m sorry to learn too that your brother Clark is gone. Good to hear that Bill´s younger brother Bob is still here. I really appreciate all the genealogical work Bill did for our family which I will pass along to my son Eric. Irma, I don´t think you and I have ever met, but it is good to hear he had a loving companion these past years. My best memory of Uncle Bill is his sudden appearance at my mother Evelyn Bachmann´s funeral in Tulsa a few years ago. He´d driven all the way from Texas to be with us. It meant a lot.
