Sister Bartholomew:

Susie and I are very saddened at the passing of President Bartholomew. He was a man who was a great inspiration to us and to all others who knew him.

I shall always cherish the times that I was privileged to serve under him on the High Council when he was our Stake President. I remember one time that I was a little upset at one of the Bishops because I did not think that he was following the Stake's program for the youth; when I brought this up in High Council meeting he said in his sweet way "Brother Jake we don't twist arms" and that said so much to me about his love for his fellow man.

Our prayers are with you and the family at this sad time in your lives, but isn't it so comforting to know what we know about death as taught in the Church.

Our Love and Prayers are with you.
