William W. Belk, MD

Dr Belk was an extraordinary FP, loved by patients and fellow healthcare professionals alike. Our family started seeing him back when he was at the naval hospital, we went with him to his private practice, continued seeing him until his retirement or we moved out of state. Dr Belk described FPs as a “dying breed”, they definitely were not in it for the recognition or money. I sat with him through many dinner meetings and seminars, absolutely loved his stories. There will never be another family physician that treats their patients with love and compassion like he did. Rest in peace so sorry you didn’t get around to growing coffee and chocolate like you planned for your retirement.

I came across this obit while searching for information on my previous doctor, which was Dr. Belk. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. Dr. Belk was such a wonderful doctor and had a dry sense of humor that some people just didn’t get. But I got it. I silently freaked out when he retired because I didn’t think he could ever be replaced. All this time I thought he was enjoying his retirement. Of course, I had no idea that he was battling cancer and that he had passed. My condolences to all who knew and loved him.

I am saddened to hear of Bill's passing. I also worked at Sacred Heart hospital and recall that he always had a kind word to say and a ready smile. Early in my paediatric practice my rather unreliable car quit in the hospital parking lot; Dr. Belk assisted me in pushing it to a parking space. What may seem like a small kindness will often be remembered for a long time.

Dr Belk was a great man. Super caring Dr. He was my Dr for over 30 years as well as my parents. I talked him in being PJC athletic team Dr. He was always willing help. He will be missed.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

I am saddened to hear about Dr. Belk. He was a great doctor and boss. May he Rest In Peace and my thoughts and prayers go out to Lucy, Katie, Matthew and the grandchildren.

Dr Belk was not only my doctor until he retired. He delivered my first Grandson. He was a friend to me and my daughter and my mother. There has never been a nicer, kinder doctor. He always had time for me and my family.

Sorry for ur loss prayers for the family.I started seeing Dr Belk when I was about 23 yrs old saw him till the day he retired about 30 yrs Best Dr I've ever had he always listened to anything u had to say.RIP Dr Belk you will be missed
