William “Bill” H. Losch Jr. was a caring husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and faithful servant of Christ. He left this world suddenly on October 25, 2021 at age 61 and was welcomed to his heavenly home.
He was born to Bill Sr. and the late Neoma Losch on December 8, 1959. He married Laura Smith Losch in June of 1989 and they had 5 wonderful children together: Will, Molly (Tiberius), Luke, Andrew and Carly. Molly is expecting his first grandchild in March. Bill is also survived by his father, William H. Losch Sr. and his sister Linda Losch.
Bill was an accomplished musician filling their home with amazing sounds from the piano. He started and ended his career in entertainment, often joined by his sister Linda. In between he was successful in sales and was a business owner. Bill was known for his ability to fix anything and his amazing strength. In recent years Bill discovered a talent for drawing and created beautiful art, often for other people. His greatest joy came from spending time with his children and his wife. Bill loved the Lord with all his heart and loved people well.

Bill was one of the kindest men we’ve known. He and Laura welcomed us (and many others) into their home and graciously offered us hospitality. He was always praying for us and cared deeply for whatever trial we were going through. He rejoiced with us in Gods mercy as well. One of our last times praying as a small group only a day before God took him home was Bill praying with a certain peaceful thanks to God that Bob Osborne was now seeing Jesus face to face. It made my heart feel peace then as it does even now. You are deeply missed here, Bill. Your kind heart, your hearty voice and lively piano, your can do attitude. Yet, I’m certain that you are seeing things so clearly as you behold Him face to face. Even now you are cheering us on to the finish line. Our hearts hurt, oh how they hurt. AND our hope is certain that we will see you again because He who promised is faithful.

Laura and family we have had the joy of knowing you since 1986 at Hope Church. Bill was a brother who walked with the Lord in all of life. He loved the humble and gentle heart of Jesus and often refreshed my heart with his encouraging words in mission. We were away for pastors retreat last weekend but know we are praying Romans 15:13 for your family!

One of my clearest and most precious memories of Mr. Losch was when I was over at the Losch's house and everyone was running around in the normal chaos of having five kids and a dog (at the time I believe it was Otis). I'm pretty sure Luke and Andrew were fighting upstairs with lightsabers, Carly was probably just a baby or toddler and was in the living room while Mrs. Losch and my mom were talking, Molly was outside trying to find a big bug to show me and Will was somewhere playing guitar all the while Otis was running around and barking at the squirrel in the backyard. Amidst all this, I decided to stand right on the line where the parlor room was. I remember distinctly not sitting in the parlor room because us kids were not allowed in there because we would most likely break something or track in mud. I was infatuated with Mr. Losch playing the piano. I remember feeling this overwhelming sense of peace listening to him play and this calmness that surrounded me despite the circumstance of the chaos and loudness around me. My mom asked me if I wanted to go outside or upstairs to play with the kids but I said no and continued to just listen to Mr. Losch play. The peace that his playing gave me as a child reminds me of the peace that our God gives to us amidst the hardships and chaos of life. It is not a peace of circumstances but a peace of mind that cannot be shaken despite the circumstances. I will forever cherish this moment that he gave me and pointed me to Christ. I know you are in a better place Mr. Losch and because of that, I will praise the Lord.

Most seem to know about Bill’s gift for music but I have always been fascinated with his ability to restore an old piano to working condition. I can imagine Bill with a prospective buyer saying something like, “Here let me show you how this works” and playing as only he could. Restoration by a man who had been restored by Christ. I know you are resting in peace my friend.

It is a great blessing to know Bill and his family. He was a man of character, a loving father, and excellent pianist and a good Christian. The person of Jesus Christ could be seen in his thoughts and actions throughout his life. He was a blessing to many of us, and we will dearly miss our friend, Bill.

What an amazing talent God gave to Bill. We are grateful to have heard Bill so effortlessly play the piano at Twin Oaks. What a joy to watch him and hear his music! Such sadness fills us as we learned that God has taken him home to be with Him but we rejoice that Bill is seeing so many sights and wonders in heaven. May God give his sweet family peace as they grieve his passing.

When i first met Bill, his presence filled my home with joy and his big smile. Our mutual love of the piano and for the Lord sparked conversations throughout the time he spent with his family during their vacation to the lake. i loved hearing his music coming up from the lower level whenever i'd check to see how they were all doing. His selflessness was immediately evident as he was consistently helpful and sensitive to the needs of others. The ebb and flow of family life around him revealed how much everyone loved and respected him. i am honored to have gotten to know him, grieving for his family as they say "see ya later", and rejoice that one day they will be gathered together again. A very special hug to Laura.

I worked with Bill for 1 1/2 years and found him to be such a kind soul with a dry wit who was liked by all who knew him. It was an honor to have worked with such a gentleman.

Mr.Bill Losch, or as I would call himdad. A man that was unique and unlike anyone I have ever met. Not even being his real daughter, he still made me feel loved and welcome to the point of the Losch’s truly being my second family. He had talent that would flow out of him, and would exude the joy of the Lord. From him opening the door with the biggest smile when I would show up to their house unannounced, the random but passionate conversations about literally anything, to sitting in the family room hearing the piano flooding the house with his delicate hand, Bill Losch was a man that knew how to fix/do anything and make you feel loved! He is an inspiration of how a godly man is to raise a family and love others. You will be missed greatly but I know that you are jamming out with the angels and is in the true presence of our Heavenly Father! I love you with my whole heart and know that God will work all things out for the good of those who love Him! See you soon!

Very sad.
Cousin Billy, we always called him Billy when were kids. Then Billy kept getting taller! After he was married and we see each other, I would look up to see him smiling and looking at me with his happy eyes. Billy grew into Bill. But he will always be my cousin Billy. Rest well.

We are so very sad to hear of Bill's sudden homegoing. Bill's love for his family was evident to everyone and God used his giving spirit and musical ability to bless many others and encourage them in their faith.
We always enjoyed our times together and honestly, I can never think of a pot-luck without hearing Bill's voice in my head.

In retrospect, what a poignant privilege it was to be in attendance at what was perhaps his final public concert on October 21st at the Golden Oaks luncheon at the Twin Oaks Presbyterian Church. A huge talent perhaps surpassed only by his friendly demeanor. He will be sorely and permanently missed by many !

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why Bill left this earth so soon, or why God took him before we were ready to say good-bye. But little by little, we can begin to remember not just that he died, but that he lived. He lived for God!
May the sweet light of God shine in the darkness. May the memories be joyful and unfold as prayers for life. May God’s love fill the silence as each new day is faced with hope and the certainty that nothing can destroy what good has been given.

Mr. Losch was truly an incredible man. I had the privilege of growing up right across the street and spent many, many evenings outside with Will and Molly watching him perform magic tricks. Sending love and many prayers to Mr. Loch’s family during this incredibly difficult time.
