William "Bill" Henry Martin, Sr., a hard worker and dedicated family mam, passed away on January 22, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Bill was born on June 10, 1941, in Buford Bottom, Missouri a son to the late Radis Martin and Goldie (Sellers) Martin. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Ellis) Martin for 50 years until her passing on July 4, 2013.
Bill's life revolved around his family, and he took great pride in being a father and grandfather. He leaves behind a loving family that includes his daughter Vicki Lawson and her husband Steve, his sons Bill Martin, Jr. and his wife Kim, and Ricky Martin. Bill also leaves behind his sister Linda Huitt and her husband Roy, as well as his brother Jim Martin and his wife Loretta. His grandchildren were the joy of his life. He is survived by Kayme (Kevin) Portell, Karey (Jordan) Civey, Kody (Tiffany) Martin, Christine (Jared) Martin, Tiffany (Don) Martin, Chelsey Martin, and Cassandra Yount. Bill was also blessed with great-grandchildren who brought him immense happiness: Kalley, Kassidy, Kyndra, Jax, Blaine, Camille, Wyatt, Corbin, and Asher. In his life, Bill's proudest accomplishments were the relationships he built with his family and the love he shared with them. He leaves behind a strong and united family who will remember him as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Bill will be remembered as a hardworking individual with a strong work ethic. He dedicated himself to providing for his family and ensuring their happiness. Bill's commitment to both work and family served as an inspiration to those around him. Outside of work and family life, Bill enjoyed spending time with loved ones. He cherished moments spent with relatives and close friends who brought laughter and joy into his life.
As we mourn the loss of Bill, we can take solace in knowing that his legacy of love and dedication will continue to live on through his family. His memory will forever remain in our hearts, and we can honor him by keeping his spirit alive in our own lives.
