William "Bill" Stewart Wallace

William (Bill) Stewart Wallace, 78, died peacefully in Catonsville, Maryland on November 14, 2025, with his wife, daughter, and son by his side. He was born September 27, 1947, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was preceded in death by his parents, Marian Wennick Wallace and George Egbert Wallace, Jr., and his brother, Jeffrey Reid Wallace.

Growing up in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, Bill graduated as salutatorian from Richland High School. Following his graduation from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Bill received a Master of Science in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park. He had a long career with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS).

Bill is survived by his wife, Karen Weiss Wallace; his daughter Kristin Lea Wallace and husband Andres Silva, and their children Valeria, Maya Luna, and llana Paz; his son Andrew Stewart Wallace and wife Sheena Wallace, and their beloved dog Theo; two sisters: Barbara Joan Wallace and husband Phillip Ponton, their daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters; Margaret Wallace Martin and husband Richard Martin, their son and daughter and spouses, and one grandson.

Bill was a quiet, gentle soul who lived with grace. He was kind, loving, thoughtful, and generous - always thinking of others -touching lives in ways that will endure. Bill's strength, kindness, and sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family and those who knew him.
