WILLIAM BLANCHFIELD Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 22, 2014.
William Blanchfield Jr. Of University Place, died on Sunday, November 16, surrounded by loved ones. We had recently celebrated his 64th birthday. Born in Tacoma, WA on November 4, 1950. to Bill and Helen Blanchfield. Bill attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated in 1969 from Curtis High School. He was a member of Local 82 lumbers and Pipefitters and for many years owned a concrete forming company. In 1979 he married Sheryl Zink and they had two children, Bill III and Brandi. Bill loved the ponies, playing cards, a good steak and mostly, his family and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Inoue and the wonderful staff at MultiCare, all angels that helped immensely with this journey. Bill was the life of the party and was such a lucky man. Special thanks to Bill's girlfriend Patti Larson, who took such good care of Bill during his illness. We are indebted to her and to all of Bill's friends that supported us during this time. Private graveside services are planned. Please join us on Saturday, November 29th for a celebration of Bill's life at the house, beginning at three. Bill is survived by his children, his sisters Tina and Linda, and beloved nephew and nieces Brian, Helena and Angel. Special thanks to Hospice, who in the last week helped us immensely. Very special thanks to Father Gene Delmore, our loving priest at St. Rita's, that helped Bill on his spiritual journey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Rita's parish or to Hospice. Rest in peace Bill.

I met bill in 1989 and we became good friends and I worked for him pouring concrete. We had great times and I never forgot him and his emphatic, animated way of speaking. We smiled a lot and laughed a lot. He was a good man and I really enjoyed working with him. I didn't know he passed away until just now, my condolences to the family. His children were very respectful and sweet to me and I appreciated that very much, thank you Brandi and Billy. I still talk about him so he lives on. I'll see you later Bill

Thank you Bill for the friendship, stories, and humor. Please don't judge us when you watch over our parties, they will be boring without you.
