William BRAID Obituary
"Bill/Willie"
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, step- father, step-grandfather, step-great- grandfather, uncle and friend. Bill was the youngest child born to George and Ella Braid during a snow storm on February 13th, 1926. He passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital on April 6th, 2015. Bill is survived by his loving wife Verna, son Bradley, three step-daughters June, Donna and Betty, many step-grand and great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Mabel Braid, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Bill is predeceased by his first wife Lavina, siblings Charlie, George (Ruby), Pete, John, Margaret (Norman) Coben, Effie (Claire) Harlton. After serving in the Canadian Army for a year and a half, Bill worked at numerous jobs and locations over the years. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Royal University Hospital for the care given to Bill. Memorial Donations may be made out to any of the three Saskatoon hospitals or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (279-3rd Ave N, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8) Memorial Service for Bill will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 12th, 2015 at Windsor Chapel (704 Windsor St, Saskatoon) Interment will be held at a later date. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of Bill. He was a wonderful man with a laugh that was contagious and made everyone else smile and giggle. He loved life and we enjoyed getting to know him. I, Dorothy, loved dancing with him, especially the jive. We will miss him dearly.

Our sincere sympathy for the loss of your sweet husband Bill. He was a kind, generous, gentle soul. We enjoyed his sense of humor and competitiveness. We both have many fond memories of Bill. Hopefully, the memories you had together will help comfort you.
