So many memories. The pool in his backyard, little league baseball, fried baloney smothered in ketchup,
high school basketball. Drinkin in the flats, double dates. Pretending to be professional baseball players to pick up girls in the clubs. Going out on New Years eve. Parties at the house we rented on Mayfield Road. Watching Browns games at the Begams. Daytona Beach and Montreal Vacations, Your marriage to Ilona, Birth of your sons. Ilona, Mike and Matt, sorry for your loss.

Ilona dear, My prayers and deepest sympathy to you and your grieving family. Bill's passing is sadness for me
who knew him even for a short while. Consolation is that he certainly is resting with the angels.

Bill and I were together for almost 40 years. He was the analytical voice to my indecisiveness, the calming voice to my occasional hysteria, the down-to-earth voice to my non-stop worrying. Our interests differed greatly: he enjoyed planting vegetables, I enjoyed eating them; he read science magazines, I read historical fiction and healthy eating cookbooks; he was a first-class computer nerd, I viewed computers as a necessary evil. We balanced each other out really well and enjoyed each other's company, even after so many years. The day I met Bill was the luckiest day of my life and I will remain forever grateful for the time we had together.

Gary Love mentions the Spartan basketball success during their High school years. Our success was, without a doubt, truly linked to Bill and his talent. But, reading the comments before writing this posting, I recall my basketball banquet speech.at Richmond Hts. and how Bill's life reflected the speech. . I stated our basketball success will be based on: 1) emphasizing small things, 2) no alibis, and 3) be unselfish. I emphasize these concepts because I stated that is the way I want my players to conduct their lives after basketball. These postings expressed about a man who was very knowledgeable (small things), was a great boss to work for (no alibis), and was a great person hang with beyond work (unselfishness). I was proud of Bill as a player, and now, even more proud how he conducted himself for 67 years. God bless the Bromley family!

It is with a heavy heart that I post this comment. I graduated with Bill in 1972 from Richmond Hts. High School. I was Bill's teammate on the basketball team through our 4 years of high school. Bill, Jimmy Wochele,(deceased), Don DiFonzo, Mike Jarm and I, under the coaching of David Majick, played together and posted a 17-3 record our senior year. The best record ever posted by a Spartan Basketball team at that time. Bill was a gentle giant and a loyal friend and teammate. My condolences to the Bromley family. Bill will be missed.

I've worked for Bill for over 15 years at Airgas. I couldn't have asked for a better or more understanding manager. His office door was almost always cracked open and with just a knock he'd invite me in after quickly turning down the volume on his meeting or the radio without a second thought. Bill will be deeply missed. Sending our prayers to his family.

I've worked for or with Bill for the past 37 years.

Bill was my manager when I started working as a COBOL programmer at Milton Allen & Associates in 1984. I always felt like I was working "with him" rather than "for him." It was a small company based in downtown Cleveland, so we'd frequently go out and grab lunch together, and when I'd get free Indians tickets from my apartment complex, I could count on him to be up for walking down to the stadium after work to watch the game.

Later, we both worked at D.P.A.I. before working at AGA Gas/Linde/Airgas.

He was a great mentor and friend and definitely one of the "good guys." I will miss collaborating with him on development designs, working on projects together, getting political insights from him, hearing updates on his garden, and just chatting.

We will definitely keep Ica and the family in our prayers.

Bill was my manager at Airgas for 13 years. He was an amazing individual & mentor. He inspired both curiosity & self reliance in everything that he taught me. I will dearly miss him. My condolences go out to his family.

My prayers are with you. I worked with Bill at Linde Gas for many years. He had such a talent for problem solving on complex issues. He was one of the good guys as his obituary noted. The world is a little less brighter without him.
