William "Bill" G. Brucker

Hampton Township - William "Bill" G. Brucker, 84, of Hampton Township, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at the Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Fredon, surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born and raised in Hackensack to the late William G., Sr. and Theresa (nee Diana) Brucker. He was a graduate of Woodridge High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Bill worked as a Union Electrician for Local Union #581 in Morristown for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1994. He had been living in Sussex County for 50 years.

Bill was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Newton for many years and was the past president of Newton Little League. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially golfing and fishing.

Bill is survived by his wife, Mary A. Brucker; his sons, William G. Brucker III and wife, Donna, of Blairstown, John S. Brucker and wife, Susan M., of Sparta, Michael F. Brucker and wife, Susan L., of Hampton Township, and Jeffrey E. Brucker and wife, Tracey, of Collierville, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Ashley and husband, Jay, Jennifer and husband, Bobby, Ryan, Joshua, Johnny, Jessica, Nicholas, Kristopher and Matthew; four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Carol Cawley and husband, Jerry, of Allendale.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 am, on Friday, September 21, 2018, at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 24 Halsted Street, Newton. Memorial Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton. Interment will take place at a later date, at the Northern NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sparta.
