William S. Burghardt

Bill and Ellen were our close neighbors on Tile Flat Rd. for many years and we shared stories and meals as good neighbors do. I can remember Bill doing his long walks on the road to keep his heart healthy and he appeared to really enjoy the opportunity to get out and see the neighborhood. When he sold the small farm, we were disappointed to see him move on, but we kept in contact through a few business connections. He had a good life and long life and he worked at making it happen. My sympathy to the entire family in the loss of a patriarch.

My condolence to the family. Bill will be missed by all. My prayer are with you during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear about Bill. I remember visiting him at the tree farm with Ellen.

I knew Bill briefly when he was part of our Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum family as a docent. Like all of our WWII veterans his time with us was a blessing we can not replace.

I knew Bill for many years, I enjoyed the book he wrote about his experience as a pilot in WWII. He will be missed.

Dad was an inspiration to us all. We were blessed to have him in our lives. He will be greatly missed.
