William C. Rickhoff

William "Bill" Clarence Rickhoff, 80, of Naperville, IL, peacefully passed away, surrounded by his family, on September 9, 2023. Born on December 17, 1942, in the City of Chicago, Illinois, Bill was a humble and loving soul who held his family close to his heart.

Bill's unwavering kindness and deep love for his family were a testament to his gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon him. He is survived by his cherished wife, Dolores L. Rickhoff, and their sons William (Ellen) and Joseph (Jane). The joy of Bill's life was further enriched by the presence of his grandsons Bradley, William, and Anthony. He was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a fond brother in-law. As he embarks on his spiritual journey, Bill is reunited with his beloved mother Jeanette Rickhoff, father Clarence Rickhoff, and sister Joanne Hughes, who preceded him in death.

In service to his country, Bill exemplified the values of honor and duty as he dedicated himself to the United States Marine Corps from 1960 to 1963. His commitment to his military associations in the USMC was a testament to his unwavering respect for all of creation.

A sacred Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 30, at 10:00 AM, at St. Gerald Church, located at 9310 S 55th Court in Oak Lawn, IL. This solemn occasion will provide an opportunity for family, friends, and community members to gather in unity and pay homage to the remarkable life of Bill. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip, IL.

In the spirit of reverence and gratitude, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. By supporting this noble cause, we can honor Bill's compassionate nature and continue his legacy of love and care for all.

Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
