FLORENCE -- William Mack "Billy" Cameron, 67, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, in a Florence hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday, April 23, in Mizpah Baptist Church, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Cameron was born in Georgetown County, a son of late Jackson Rhett and Nellie Geneva Cameron. He was a member of Mizpah Baptist Church, where he was a former Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Youth Director.
Surviving are his wife, Hallene H. Cameron of Florence; two sons, Randy (Rita) Cameron and Rodney (Beth) Cameron, both of Florence; a daughter-in-law, Tammie I. Cameron of Florence; three sisters, Vivian C. Tanner, Mary Sue Tanner and Jackie C. White, all of Hemingway; and five grandchildren, Dewitt Cameron, Adam Cameron, Sara Cameron, Blake Cameron and William Cameron. Mr. Cameron is predeceased by son, Rhett Cameron.
