I remember Bill from the days of the Ash street gang. We had some great times. So sorry Bill died so young but he will be remembered as a good person and a hard worker.

Joyce, was so sad to hear about Bill, he will be missed by all who knew him in one way or another. I remember him picking you up at your house in OtterCreek after school, you two had the biggest smiles and hello's and off you went. ourr sincere sympathy to you and your entire family. Bill and I were classmates through school and I worked for him one late summer season at the Mary Jane. He was a good person. I am sorry for his passing and hope that Joyce and family members will give and receive the support they need through the coming times of adjustment.

Bill Carey had a large & loving family, many, many friends, and the respect & admiration of the entire Bar Harbor community...not once in the 30 years I knew him did I ever hear a bad word spoken against him from anyone, and never once did I know him to treat his employees with anything but fairness & respect...I think it's safe to say that anyone who has ever worked @ the Mary Jane Restaurant, or knew him personally, will be deeply saddened by his sudden passing....thank you, Billy, for everything, for helping me become a better man through your example, and for guiding the galley of your ship over some mighty rough waters...we kitchen-pirates could never have asked for a better captain.

My little one and I enjoyed seeing Bill's smile in the morning at daycare. The smell of his food...especially his cookies...were amazing! He will be so missed by the children and adults. His family is definitely in our thoughts and prayers during this time.
