I can still hear your father's voice at the "dinner parties" at my parents' house. I can hear the piano, the singing and the general joie de vivre in his voice. I remember sitting on top of the stairs because I definitely couldn't sleep and laughing out loud.

I remember the Code/Kueber family trip to Disneyland in 1973 with Bill and Peggy as secondary parents with equal rights to discipline the Kueber kids at will. I remember arguing with Bill at the pool and him telling me I might be a good lawyer. Imagine the patience of arguing with a scrawny, snotty 13 year old girl...

All of my memories of Bill and Peggy and the Code family make me laugh, smile and cry. I already miss you Bill.

My parents used to say that they had way more practice partying than we could ever imagine. I suspect they were with you and Mr. Code for many of those good times! We had some fun when our families gathered too. I know he was incredibly respected in his field. Please accept my sympathy.

My condolences to the Code family. I was a legal assistant with Mr. Code on the Code Inquiry so had the pleasure of working with him for two years.

Code family - my sincere condolences. I have so many fond memories of Bill. Peggy, I recall the crazy parties my folks used to host and attend, and the Codes were always front and center. As a kid, I was often awakened after midnight on a Saturday, peeking downstairs and seeing Bill hammering out a tune on the piano and the rest of you "adults" singing along at full volume. Mostly out of tune, but all having the time of your lives.

Bryce, Kelly, Geoff, Brett - my heart goes out to you. I recall the great "en famille" Christmas parties your family hosted, and growing up with you in parallel. The loss of the guy you know as "dad" is a huge loss indeed.

Prayers and hugs to each of you. Your husband, your dad, is a legend.
