Bill is missed very much. Such a good man.

Every month or so I stop in to buy some coffee. Once, Bill was waiting on me as I checked my wallet, not sure I had enough money. "Don't worry about that," said Bill, "you know you can just pay us next time. Don't leave without your coffee." That's just the way he was, friendly, trusting. I'll miss him.

To Bill's family and friends, although I did not know him, my heart was broken of the learning of his passing. My son George Raynes was one of the buddies in Texas at his passing. Please know I'm praying for his family and friends, especially his golf buddies. George told me this morning over a phone call how much he thought of him and said he was a great buddy and an awesome guy. Prayers being sent to all!

It isn't often that I'm out of words. Our deepest sympathy and prayers to Melissa, Allie and Ashley. Martha and I will remember the laughs we shared together before, during and after UNE Basketball games.

We were so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. We said a prayer and lit a candle for him last evening here in Italy. I will certainly remember with fondness our snowmobiling trips together and his hospitality in Vermont.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Bill's family & friends. Such a great guy that I will truly miss. God bless my buddy Bill.

He had a way with words. His kindness was just natural. He was one of those people that always had the right words that made others feel good. From St. Mary's gym to the St. Thomas bleachers to UNE, Bill was always there, rain or shine. Dedicated Dad, beloved husband. Every time I drove through Dover, and smelled the coffee, I would look around for Bill. Melissa, Allie and Ashley - So sorry to hear of your sudden and tremendous loss. I lost my Dad the same way years ago when he was only 51. It knocks the wind right out of you. I know you have a great family and support system that is going to help you get through this period of overwhelming grief. When this fog starts to slowly lift, the many fond memories that you have will help you get by, though you'll never stop missing him. And that's OK. I didn't know Bill well personally, but it was most evident to anyone how proud he was of his family. Keep on making him proud.

Such a great guy and person to be around. My daughter plays volleyball, and Bill and I would talk endlessly about how lucky we are to watch our daughters do something they enjoy so much. He will truly be missed.

Bill you gave Ivans lane life! You also showed what it means to love your family. I will always remember those summer evenings trying to drag John home from your beautiful and welcoming home. You would say Its ok!! We love John!! You loved all. You will be missed. Melissa, Ashley and Allie you were graced by a big beautiful soul. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Ivans lane wont be the same without Bill. He never drove past without stopping to say Hi and share a story. Always had an update on how his girls were doing in school, basketball with that big proud smile on his face. Ive never met such a proud dad. We were blessed to have him as our neighbor.
