William Copeland Obituary
Age 89, of Galt, passed away peacefully in Lodi on March 25, 2007, after a brief illness. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Copeland was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on August 14, 1917. He married Gertrude Menard on December 2, 1964. He served in WWII where he was honorably discharged. He worked for the Department of Agriculture as an inspector until his retirement in 1982. He spent his retirement years in Galt, where he could be close to his family. His last years were spent living with Jeff and Amy Gates and their family. He enjoyed riding his scooter around the olive orchard and was looking forward to the first harvest next year. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by 4 step-daughters and 5 step-sons, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Gertrude Copeland in 1994. No funeral services at his request.
