What a wonderful man. Dr. Cross was my advisor and professor of countless classes while at I.C. I am sad to hear of his passing. I will be praying for his families healing during this time of grief.

We send our sincere sympathy at Dr. Cross' passing. He was a kind and gentle man, a wise and caring man. We were privileged to know him at two colleges, and at our church, where he reflected God's love in his words and actions.

Dear Paul and John,
We certainly enjoyed having your father in our congregation at First Presbyterian Church and his assisting our pastors in worship services. He was a dear man and so wonderful to your mother. I'm glad he was able to be closer to John while at Concordia. Our sympathies to you both.

Without the guidance I received from Dr. Cross I would have ended up in a career that could not be more satisfying than the one I chose. The knowledge, compassion and enthusiasm he possessed was evident each time you spoke with him.

My heart goes out to the family! I took Dr. Cross's Sociology class at IC. He was the sweetest man. He always said "Hi" to the soccer team as he walked home from work!

Your family is in my prayers. Dr. Cross was my adviser and his counsel led to my pursuit of graduate studies. He took me to dinner to provide words of encouragement and advice as I began a career. What a humble, thoughtful and genuinely caring man that I had the great pleasure to know.
