I am so sorry to read of the death of Mr. Davis. I remember well working for him in the drugstore in the early 1960's, and of visiting in your home. My deepest condolences.

Dearest Martha,
There's a card on the way, but I just wanted to be in touch via this forum as well. I'm sorry that we were unable to attend the service, but sometimes calendars will do that.
I wanted to share two things about Bill. Number one, he was always the snappiest dresser at UMM breakfasts. Even early on a Sunday morning, over Frank's scrambled eggs and Wayne's bacon, Bill was always nattily appointed. Such a dapper fellow indeed!
Secondly, one time your lawn man was sick, and so I came over to fill in for him. Upon mowing's completion, Bill gave me the lawn mower. He knew that Susan and I were newlyweds, and newlyweds needed more than place settings and embroidered towels. Surely they needed a lawn mower. Well, the mower's still going strong.
Your Bill was a friend, a brother in Christ, a mentor, a disciple. He touched and charmed many lives. I'm just one of them.
Susan, Lulu, and I hold you solidly in our prayers dear heart. Shalom for now.
Much love,
Bob Richardson
