William DE SMET

DE SMET, William (Bill) Peter William (Bill) Peter De Smet, born in Spirit River, AB, May 4, 1924, passed away in Kamloops, BC on December 17, 2002. He will be greatly missed by Alice, his wife of 52 years, and his 10 children, Frank (Karen) De Smet, Brenda (Ken) Staples, Pat De Smet, Sandi Southwell, Celeste (Dale) Hull, Gordon (Marian) De Smet, Gerry DeSmet, Michelle (Donald) Pike, Will (Kay) De Smet, and Leasa (D'Arcy) Stainton. His 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren will miss their Grandpa. He leaves behind his brother, Frank De Smet, now of Grande Prairie, AB, and a very large extended family. His steadfast love and faithfulness to his family was apparent throughout his life. Prayers will be offered on Sunday, December 22nd at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help, where a Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 23rd at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon in Bill's name at 203-635 Victoria Street, Kamloops, BC V2C 2B3.
