Dean, WILLIAM HERSCHEL age 94, of Midlothian, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2005. Herschel was born September 2, 1910 in Mesquite, Texas. He was the first son of seven children and one daughter, born to Frank William Dean and Callie Zona Prock. He married Juanita Hendrix in Dallas on June 15, 1963 and they moved to Midlothian in 1981. He retired in 1971 after more than 30 years with the U. S. Postal Service in Dallas. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Juanita Hendrix Dean of Midlothian and her children, Ron Hendrix and his wife Diana of San Antonio and Judy Brin and her husband Steve of Arlington; his daughter, Betty Alice Weaver; six grand children and two great grandchildren; three brothers and one sister, J. C. of Malakoff, Virgil of Mesquite, Arthur of Royce City and Mary Stubbs of Dallas and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a. m. Thursday, January 27, 2005 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral. Interment will be 1 p.m. at the Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas. Herschel was such a kind, quiet and gentle man. His independence at age 94 was amazing to me. Although he was a man of few words when I was around him, I always felt at ease. I will miss him very much.
