William Dubose, Jr. Obituary
Mr. William Elby DuBose Jr., "The Kang", was born in Hillsborough County in Tampa, Florida on October 29, 1938 to Mr. & Mrs. William (Arimentha) DuBose Sr. He attended Hillsborough County Schools until his decision to join the armed forces. Mr. DuBose enlisted into the United States Navy where he served his country as a Marine Mechanic for over 20 years, with his last service ship being the USS Constellation, until being honorably discharged on August 3, 1976 as a Mechanical Master Chief Petty Officer. On July 3, 1994 William married Carolyn George after a 14 year courtship.
William was preceded in death by his parents William E. Dubose Sr. and Arimentha DuBose, sister Manerva DuBose, and son Raynor Charles DuBose.
Survivors are Wife, Carolyn DuBose. Sons William Hairston, William E. DuBose III, Antwon Lewis (Kimberly), Dietrick George (Sheletta). Grandkids Elby Hairston (Kristen), Ebony Ford (Erick), Elbonnie Hairston and Morgan Lewis. Great-grands Jakari, Ellyce, Elena, Anaisha, Brian, Elby Jr. and Evan. Mother-in-Law Louise George Malone. Sister Constance Odems. Brothers Arnold DuBose (Doris) and Sherwood DuBose (Sharon). Sister-in-laws Patricia Ann Levette, Chaddie George, Patricia Kindell (Charles), Louise Gentle (Willie), Janice George-Johnson (Lc). Brother-in-Laws Joe Jones (Shirlyon), Michael Jones (Linda), Sammie Jones, Eddie George (Naomi). Nieces Melisande Patrizzi (Dennis), Desiree DuBose, Shayla DuBose, Sharisse DuBose. Nephews Reginald Kimble (Denise), Quinton DuBose (Makeda). And a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, FL.
