William Patrick Egan II

Bill was an exceptional leader, a constant source of wisdom, a passionate philanthropist, and a dear friend to all of us at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. He never failed to express a kind and encouraging word, even when giving the most pragmatic advice. I speak for the whole staff in saying that we will miss him terribly. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. The Gardner's Renzo Piano addition at the Gardner stands as permanent testament to Bill's incredible vision.
