Long Beach
William "Buddy" E. Engle, age 87 and a resident of Long Beach, died on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, in Bay St. Louis.
Mr. Engle was born in Prattville, AL on July 22, 1927. He had been a resident of the MS Gulf Coast since 1965 and was a member of the Long Beach Church of Christ for 29 years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and spent a tour of duty in China. Mr. Engle retired in 1984 after 34 years of service with Gayfer's.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob & Annie Engle; his brothers, Oliver Gentry, Johnny Gentry, and Franklin Engle; his sisters, Ruth Gentry, Birtie Gammel, and Mary Salyer and his son-in-law, Michael McGinity.
Mr. Engle is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Marion Rogers Engle of Long Beach; his daughters, Mary McGinity of Knoxville, TN, Ruth Strickland of Long Beach and Susan (Freddie) DeMetz of Long Beach; his brother, James (Melody) Engle of Georgia; his grandchildren, Macy (Heidi) Hagensee of Prineville, OR, Michael (Heather) Hagensee of Knoxville, TN, Johnny, Jr. (Farrah) Strickland of Wesley Chapel, FL, David DeMetz of Mobile, AL and Ashley (Dean) Weaver of Long Beach; ten great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015, from 6pm until 8pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 10am in the funeral home chapel, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Long Beach City Cemetery.

I wish we could be there during this difficult time. My prayers are with you in your time of sorrow, but I'm joyful for Uncle Buddy that he has gone home to see so much of his family that has passed before him.
