Bill and I worked together at Conrail for many years. We were good friends and our friendship continued many years after we both left the railroad. He was friends with my whole family and also took all of us to the Stroudsburg RR to see Thomas the Tank Engine. There was nothing he wouldn't do for you - we took many shopping trips together at Booths Corner and he always had a cooler in his car in case he wanted to buy some food.
I feel so bad that I didn't hear of his death until today. He was a kind, caring man and I will miss him terribly. God bless you Bill.

My wife & I became friends of Bill at the Saint Anselm Carnival many years ago. I remember him taking photos and always being friendly. Later I learned of our common love of trains and trolleys. I shall miss my friend. Condolences to all family and friends of Bill!

The switches are lined and locked;
The Pearly Gates home signal is displaying a high green;
Highball, my friend!

Bill was more than just a neighbor to my family. When he didn't spend holidays in New York, he always joined with us in our celebrations. We never had to worry about taking pictures because he always captured the moment for us. He was always offering his help as a chauffeur when I had to be in two places at one time. I didn't even have to ask, he just told me he was going to do it. We will always have a special place for him in our hearts when we get together for family gatherings and vacations.

Bill was the best neighbor anyone could have. I still called him my neighbor even though I moved away many years ago. He was a part of our family and I grew up knowing I could count on him to always let me in when I forgot my key or give us a ride when my parents had to be too many places at once. He came to all our celebrations, took pictures, shared vacations and took my son to see Thomas. He fostered my addiction to ferries waffles and I always learned something new talking to him. We had a long standing joke when I would get him a glass of water. He drank a lot of water so he would always drink it really fast and then pretend I had given him an empty glass. He always walked to the train station with no coat regardless of the temperature. He was an outstanding human and we were blessed to have him for our neighbor and as a part of our family.

Bill was a huge part of our family. I have so many pictures of my kids special events, sacraments, birthdays and other events because he took them and printed them out for me. He was always thinking of us and would often pick up something he thought would be useful as a gift. He treated my children to trips to see Thomas the train which they treasure the memories from. He went on family vacations with us up the Poconos and even went to our big family Disney vacation, which was a huge deal for my kids because it was their first time there. When I was in high school he was often my ride to Ryan band practices when my parents needed to be somewhere else. I knew I could always pick up the phone and call him for a ride. When we brought my girls to NYC to American Girl he came alone as our guide, and also as good company. Bill was so much more then a neighbor, he was family. The Hamricks are all going to miss him so much.

Bill was more than just a neighbor, we considered him family. He was such a kind, caring, considerate person. He acted as a chauffeur many times when I had to be two places at once. I didn't even have to ask, he just told me he was doing it. He will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts when we have family gatherings and go on vacations, especially the Poconos. When he wasn't in New York for the holidays, we were happy to have him as our guest. Our albums are full of pictures taken by him on special days: baptism, communion, graduations - you name it - he was always capturing the moment for us. My family was extremely fortunate that Bill was a part of our lives. Rest In Peace Bill.

I worked with Bill at Conrail and remember him as a very nice and kind gentleman. He did love his photography and took a lot of pictures for our many projects at the railroad. May he Rest In Peace and his family have happy memories of him.
