In summer 1966 I walked out the patio door of my parents' house near 92nd & Mission Road, cut thru the neighbors' back yards, ands, in less than 10 minutes, reached the Geiger home. Dr. And Mrs. Geiger were always kind and polite. That fall
I started 7th grade -- the only kid at Cure of Ars Catholic school with his own rock and roll band. I played guitar. Our vocalist was my silver-throated classmate, Gus Geiger. All I remember after that was the music -- for it reminded us every day of what we always wanted to be. God bless the Geiger family for opening their doors to the music. Gus and I haven't made music now for 3 decades but, oh, what fun that could be.

I absolutely loved Uncle Bill. Growing up we couldn't wait to go and see the Geigers, either in Fairfax, OK or in Kansas City. Uncle Bill took video of all of us kids growing up and at that time it was almost unheard of - we LOVED going to see them and watching those videos over and over again!!! Uncle Bill was a very kind hearted man who loved his family unconditionally. I was wanting to attend the funeral but could not get away from work until Thursday..... I was there in spirit and Uncle Bill will be at the top of my prayer list (along with Aunt Bette and kids) for quite a while. A great loss for us all - but he is being welcomed in Heaven by so many!!! Love to you all, Sara Goodwin
