WILLIAM GIVENS Obituary
Age 82, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Mercer, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 18, 2019. Loving husband of 47 years to Nancysue (Weaver) Givens; devoted father of Sharon Volpe (Ron), Diane Fereshetian (Robert), Laurie Queen (Robert) and the late Staceyanne Cawley (surviving Matthew); proud grandfather of eight; and great-grandfather of seven; brother of the late Judy Wiles. Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township, (412-364-4444). Committal services with military honors will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Allegheny County Memorial Park Mausoleum, (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY). Bill was retired from the military, serving both the Navy and the Army. He went on to work as a tour bus driver and found great enjoyment in retirement golfing. Family suggests memorials to Embrace Hospice, 175 Village Center Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC 29579. Condolences may be shared at brandtfuneralhome.com.
