William Goodwill Obituary
Bill was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Army. He graduated Youngsville High School and was formerly employed by Electric Materials as a machinist for 40 years, retiring in 1986.
Bill was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in North East and the North East American Legion Post 105. He formerly sang barbershop in the Erie Commodores Perry Chorus and the Vinelanders Quartet. Bill loved the Lord, church activities, and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Charles Goodwill; brothers, Eugene and Wayne Goodwill; and sisters, Marie Calhoun and Eva Martin.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Shirley Ellsworth Goodwill, whom he married May 2, 1947; son, Kevin L. Goodwill of North East; daughter, Karen Bush (Gerard) of Hermitage, Pa.; sisters, Winifred Walter of Whitney, Ontario and Florence Croscut of North East; grandchildren, Jason "JD" Goodwill (Bobbi) of Erie, Morgan Wiseman (Steve) of Hermitage, Pa., Deidre Reinhart (Luke) of North East, and Gregory Bush (Shannon) of Kansas City, Missouri; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East, on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and are invited to a funeral service on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Officiating the service is Rev. Marvin Hutchison. Interment, with Full Military Honors, will be held at North East Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 81 East Main Street, North East, PA 16428, or to Disabled American Veterans, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076.

Goodwill family. I did not have the pleasure of knowing this man, but I did know Kev, and from what I know of him, I am sure that Mr. Goodwill was amazing. Kev is one of the hardest working, kind and good hearted people I have ever met, which I believe is a reflection of how he was raised. My your family find comfort in knowing that he is in a better place, where he can watch over you all and continue to be proud from above. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers during this rough time.
