To the Gray Family, With sympathy you have my condolences.
I would be remiss if I did not respond to your fathers home going. Rev. Gray was instrumental in the desegregation of Hershey Park. I was a part of a desegregation program he founded back in 1977. He would faithfully transport us to and from Hershey park in his van. Mentor and educate us with his words of wisdom, as we took that journey.
Rev. Gray was a true pioneer and civil rights activist!
I owe much of my cultural consciousness to Rev. Gray...
Family, I thank you for sharing this saint with us!!! He and God are now face to face reflecting on his Golden Glove stories. God will never leave you or forsake you.

To the family of the Rev. Dr. William M. Gray, Sr....I extend my deepest sympathy to you at this time of bereavement. I remember Dr. Gray from the Foster St. YMCA.
Rev. Gray was a true vessel of God who brought glory and honour to his heavenly Father. He never ceased to enlighten, encourage, and/or enhance the lives of the young people in Harrisburg. Rev. Gray was committed to Christ long before he was called into the gospel ministry. He loved the Harrisburg community and that was quite evident in his labour of love for the community. Bettering the lives of others was his passion and I, for one, am grateful for his ministry. I pray that the Lord will forever bless you, comfort you, and grant you his precious peace.

I would like to extend my sympathy to the Family and Friends of Rev Dr Gray. He was a great friend to my husband, the late Louis M. Werdebach of Carlisle, Pa.. It was through my husband that I met Dr Gray. When I was called into the Ministry, Dr Gray also became one of my closest mentor friends in the Ministry. I always looked forward to His preaching when he visited our Church in Carlisle, Shiloh Baptist. and the talks afterward. Though I had not spoken to him lately, I never forgot him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends

I would like to extend my sympathy to the family of Billy Gray. I had an opportunity to work with him as a Youth Advocate for youth discharged from juvenile correctional facilities in the mid-1970's. He was a great role model and counselor who was well connected to all of the Harrisburg youth serving agencies in Harrisburg. He provided countless hours of service, largely unpaid, to troubled youth and his combination of athletic skills and divinity proved an effective model of outreach and rehabilitation. He was a positive mentor for hundreds of Harrisburg youth and leaves a rich legacy of service, caring, and compassion. His impact on the community is immeasurable and it was an honor to get to know him. May he rest in peace.

Friends are a gift from God. They bring us joy and happiness. And help us in times of need. That's why we can say, we were truly blessed to be able to call him friend.
Our faith is certainly tested at times like this. We know it is difficult to understand a loss like this, but we need to be mindful of the true blessing that he was to us. That should give us the strength to continue on in faith knowing that he would want us to honor his memory in this way.
We pray that God's choicest blessings will be bestowed on his family.
