William Gruver Obituary
Bill will be greatly missed by his son: Shawn V. Gruver, CA; his daughter: Olivia H. R. Wintgens (and husband, Greg), Germany; 5 cousins and their families; many friends, colleagues and fellow choristers worldwide.
The service will be held at 3pm Sunday, March 13, 2016, at Christ Church Cathedral, 690 Burrard St, Vancouver BC.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Music Endowment Fund at Christ Church Cathedral, Vancouver (604-682-3848 x28), or to the Dr. William A. Gruver Engineering Science Award at SFU (778-782-4154). Please designate your gift "In Memory of William Gruver."

I was certainly sadenned to learn Bill's untimely passing. Bill was a friend and we had overlapping interests in research and teaching.

I am grateful to have known Bill at SFU. A kind, open, creative, pragmatic colleague, we met to discuss common academic interests, and to discover we shared a love of singing. My sincere condolences to his family and all who mourn the loss of this luminous gentleman.
