William "Dub" Hart a resident of Mead, Oklahoma passed away in Durant, Oklahoma on Monday, September 5, 2016 at the age of 73. He was born in Caddo, Oklahoma to William "Slim" Hart and Hazel (Jackson) Hart on April 30, 1943. Dub married his sweetheart Glenda Beck on October 31, 1987 in Sperry, Oklahoma.
Dub attended the Baptist Church in Mead. He had worked for Texoma Drug, and as a lineman for Southeastern Electric for 24 years. Dub loved spending time in his shop, working with horses, going to auctions and traveling with his family.
Mr. Hart is survived by his beloved wife, Glenda of the home; son, William "Bill" Hart of Knoxville, Tennessee; daughter, Terri Lynn Miller and husband David of Odessa, Texas; sons, William Ethan Hart of Durant, Oklahoma and Nathan James Hart of Mead, Oklahoma; step-sons, Kelly Matthew Bridges and wife Leslie of Glendale, Arizona and Lance Bridges of Ft. Worth, Texas; grandchildren, David Layton of Wardville, Oklahoma, Jennifer Rios of Tulsa, Alexis Bridges of Glendale, Arizona, Kayla Bridges of Ft. Worth, Texas, Austin Bridges of Weatherford, Texas and Madison Bridges of Weatherford, Texas; 7 great-grandchildren; and brother, Darrell Hart of Calera, Oklahoma.
Mr. Hart was preceded in death by his parents, William "Slim" Hart and Hazel Hart.
Family Hour will be from 7-8:00 PM on Thursday, September 8th at the Holmes Coffey Murray Funeral Home in Durant. A church service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 9th at the Mead Baptist Church in Mead with Bro. Kerry Groce officiating. Interment will follow at the Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo. Pallbearers will be Nathan Hart, Austin Bridges, Lance Bridges, Kelly Bridges, Vincent Manners and David Miller.
