Peggy, Chris, Steve, Jimmy, Brian and Brent, we are just hearing of Bill's passing, we are all so sorry for your loss. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family. I haven't seen Bill but a few times over the many years since leaving Rest Haven but enjoyed each time I got to speak with him. I will make a point of stopping in next time I get thru the old neighborhood.

Dear Heller Family, I'm terribly sorry for your loss. I never had the honor to meet him, but everyone always spoke so highly of him and said what a generous and caring man he was.

Bill and I sat across from each other in most of our classes. When my car broke he'd give me a ride in his old VW Beetle with a broken gas gauge. He'd have to remember how many gallons he put in at the station, note the milage on the odometer and estimate how far he could drive before running out. One time he miss-calculated while I was with him. He reached under the dashboard, turned a lever which opened an 2-gallon emergency gas tank and we were back in business.
When his car was broken I'd give him a ride in my 1949 Studebaker with a reverse gear that only worked part time and headlights that would go off if you hit a bump. I kept 2 flashlights in the glove compartment and, one night I had Bill riding with me and the headlights went out, so I had Bill get out the flashlights and we each shined ours out the window down the road to see until the lights came back on. I have so many memories of Bill & those times. God Bless you and your family.

To Peggy & the family, we were shocked when we heard the news yesterday! just shocked. There is so much to say about the goodness of Bill Heller, we will try to sum it up like this. (Joe)I worked for Bill for many years and not only did he look out for me he looked out for my family, & when I retired from Heller Electric, he never forgot about me, Bill always made me feel important and I am very proud to have worked for such a great man. Peggy, i mean this from the bottom of my heart, i am just a phone call away and so sadden right now. (Ann) The skies opened and received an Angel, Bill was the most generous, gracious, fun, loving Boss, I had ever seen, it was always an Honor to be at the holiday parties that he and Peggie gave so often, he recogonized all the good in people of every race, in my mind, He was the best of the best and he could dance so well. Peggy, We love you and we will keep you and yours in our prayers and we thank you for for sharing your husband with so many of us. God Bless You and Keep you so Safe. We loved Bill to and when we think of him, we will think of the good times that we shared. Peace Be with you.

We are quite saddened to hear of Bill's passing. He was a great friend and neighbor to us. So generous with his time, stopping in to take care of some electrical issues, stopping in to look for his long lost coat ;-) as well as having an open door (swimming pool) policy. He lives on in our fond memories. Our heartfelt condolences to all!

Bill was one of my best friends at DeMatha, I even rode to school with him many times. I went to my first SCCA race with he and Woody Madden at Upper Marlboro.
He greatly enriched my high school years.
I'll miss him

Bill was my father-in-law for over 10 years and I am blessed to have known him. He had a huge heart and will always be remembered as someone very special to me. My love and sympathy go out to Peggy, his five sons and grandchildren. May you find strength in God who is faithful to see you through this very difficult time.
