Mr. William Lee 'Bill' Holbrook, age 69, of Douglasville, GA passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012. He was born December 28, 1942 in Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Holbrook. Bill was a 1968 graduate of Georgia Tech and a retired Licensed Professional Engineer with Norfolk Southern. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Holbrook of Douglasville, GA; mother Vera Holbrook of Peachtree City, GA; children, Bill Holbrook Jr. (Beverly) of Louisville, KY and Jennifer Grady (Lewis) of Douglasville, GA; grandchildren, Emily Holbrook, Alex Holbrook, Hope Holbrook, Spencer Grady, Brooke Grady; brother Bobby Holbrook of Peachtree City, GA; sister Cindy Davidson of Senoia, GA. The family will receive friends at Whitley Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home on Friday, April 20, 2012 from 5-8 PM. Bill will lie in state at the church for one hour from 1-2 PM prior to the service and the family will receive friends. The funeral service will be Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Douglasville with Dr. James Harper and Mrs. Jane Hubbard officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Douglas County Humane Society or Georgia Tech School of Engineering.
