Services will be held for William Albert Honea, 81 of Cleburne, at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with the Rev. Charles Payne and the Rev. Donnie Williams officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6:-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org, or the American Heart Association, www.americanheart.org. You may leave condolences, view obituary and photo online at www.cpcleburne.com.

William Albert Honea was born to John Manley and Ettie Nix Honea on April 6, 1928, in Hico, Texas. He passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, in Cleburne, Texas. Albert married Nelda Faye Vaughan in Cleburne on Nov. 20, 1953. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Albert worked as a car man with Santa Fe Railroad, retiring after 42 years in April 1987. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for the past several years. Albert loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. "Papa," as his grandchildren called him, enjoyed the outdoors in general, fishing and camping. Albert will be missed greatly by all those that knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dwayne and Dean Honea; sisters, Ruby Walker, Lottie Gardner and Opal Christman.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Nelda Honea; children, Wanda Bandy and husband, Earl, and Keith Honea and partner, Dave Marriott; grandchildren, Julie Bandy Edmonson and husband, Brett, and Justin Bandy; brothers, Aubrey Honea and wife, Naomi, C.W. Honea and wife, Linda, and Travis Honea and wife, Anna; sisters, Wilma Elkins and Aunita Coffee; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
